Job Description

As a Consultant - Financial Analyst, you will contribute to various power system studies. A wide range of services is offered to our clients, ranging from classical power system studies to the review of grid codes and standards. The ideal candidates should have experience in power systems analysis which includes :

  • Creation and development of financial models for infrastructure projects
  • Consulting in the field of (feed-in) tariff analysis and models / support mechanisms for renewable energies
  • Consulting in project financing and project development
  • Preparing financial due diligence and feasibility assessments
  • Economic analysis in consulting projects for infrastructure planning
  • Cooperation in developing business plans, financial due diligence
  • Support in sales and proposal preparation

In addition, you will be capable of preparing draft technical reports, and outlining the findings from the studies. Our clients include TSOs, regulatory bodies, power producers, industries and project developers around the world. As part of an international team, you will further develop your expertise and project management skills and you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to market studies, sector strategies and feasibility studies;
  • Contributing to R&D projects in your expertise domain;
  • Support in socio-economic assessments
  • Helping in the preparation of commercial offers;
  • Helping in a long term strategy for the team.

This team has a world class expertise in Financial Analysis and Economics of power sector projects and is the centre of excellence of the ENGIE Group for all related topics.

  • You hold a Master degree in Economics, Finance, Economic Engineering, Mathematics, MBA, or similar.
  • You are fluent in English. French, Russian or Arabic speaking is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years in projects and acquisition; with consultant, investor or financier of infrastructure projects.
  • You have a deep understanding of energy technologies and their economic fundamentals.
  • Ideally experience in innovative technologies such as smart grids, sector coupling, energy storage, hydrogen, energy trading or similar.
  • Experience in presenting and defending results to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of using programming languages such as R, Python, C# or similar.
  • Excellent command of MS Office suite (in particular MS Excel).
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as part of a wider team.
  • You are dynamic, creative, interested by high level expertise and team work.
  • You are geographically mobile for short or mid-term missions all over the world.
